Spring Tops, Tanks, and Tees

This may not appear to be much progress on my Tops, Tanks, and Tees Knitalong but I’m pleased that I’m finished with most of one sleeve.   It’s an unusual looking sleeve, huh?  It makes me think of a knitted chinese lantern cozy.  But it is in fact a sleeve on this slouchy, summery top by Teresa Gregorio.
It isn’t a difficult lace pattern, but I was so distracted while knitting that I basically wasted a day knitting and unknitting to fix mistakes.   I finally learned to check the stitches on either side of my markers after each row to make sure I either increased correctly next to the markers or to make sure I have the correct yarn over or k2together next to them.   Things flowed smoothly after that.  It’s fun and I think, due to the lace, will actually knit up quickly.  It better because I realized a few days ago that I hadn’t really started on this and the knitalong ends in 2 1/2 weeks!  Plus it is sort of a special, just-from-me graduation present for my daughter.

On a totally unrelated, but happy, note: please check out Mortal Muses today for a Mobile Monday Mosaic in which you’ll find my Spotticus among the wildflowers.  Thank you!

  1. Well, I think you're making amazing progress ~ this is such an interesting construction & I'm looking forward to seeing more.

  2. It has been interesting. I'm glad it is because I'm making another one for myself and it won't be boring to knit again.
